With a proven cell design that has changed only minimally since 1971, the Watermaid cell with the centre mesh cathode has changed to a solid titanium tube cathode - 3 1/2 times heavier than the equivalent mesh cathode and know known as the QT Cell. the result is:
Increased performance by around 40% for the same size cathode. |
Lower maintenance: cleaning is reduced drastically due to the smooth tube surface which helps to slow down calcium buildups.
Longer electrode life: a solid tube will last longer than the mesh electrode. A normal expected life is between 4-8 years. This is based on the historical 150 CM cell true life expectancy and then allowing for the heavier cathode used in QT series cells, i.e. not just a marketing policy.
